Children's Hospital Colorado Announces the Establishment of the Anna and John J. Sie Center for Down Syndrome

Children's Hospital Colorado announced July 30th the receipt of a multi-million dollar gift from the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation that will go toward the establishment of the Anna and John J. Sie Center for Down Syndrome (the “Sie Center for Down Syndrome”). The Sie Center for Down Syndrome will be the first of its kind in the Rocky Mountain region.

FRONTLINE Interviews Children's Hospital Psychiatrist

PBS FRONTLINE presented “The Medicated Child” on Jan. 8 about the risks and benefits of prescription drugs for troubled children. The PBS special, which focused on bipolar disorder, included interviews with Dr. Marianne Wamboldt, chief of psychiatry, and profiled Jacob Solomon, whose symptoms are more under control since becoming a patient at Children's Hospital Colorado, where he has been introduced to alternative therapies.
