On Sunday, June 5, 2011, Children's Hospital Colorado and March of Dimes celebrated the journey of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) 2007-2008 graduates.

This event recognized the strength and accomplishments of former patients of the NICU and allowed families to reconnect with other NICU families and staff members who cared for their children. It also marked the nine-year anniversary of the launch of the March of Dimes NICU Family Support program.

When the program began in 2002, it was one of just three in the nation. March of Dimes NICU Family Support is now in 100 hospitals, serving up to 70,000 families across the U.S. each year.

Former patients and families enjoyed a slide show featuring "then and now" photos of NICU graduates, door prizes, a bicycle rodeo, face painting, beanbag toss, obstacle course, arts and crafts, Star Wars characters, as well as plenty of food and cupcakes.
