Courage Classic Bicycle Tour Raises Millions for Kids

The 25th Children’s Hospital Colorado Courage Classic tour crossed the final finish line Monday in Copper Mountain just $300,000 short of its $2.8 million goal.

Two-thousand riders will continue fundraising through Aug. 31. The tour lasted three days, included three mountain passes and was supported by nearly 400 volunteers.

Learn more about Courage Classic.

The tour, presented by Prologis, is regarded as one of Colorado’s premier cycling events. Funds raised help Children’s Colorado achieve its mission to improve the health of children through high-quality, coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy. Children’s Colorado served 198,564 patients in 2013 and expect to see even more infants, kids and teens in the years to come.

A portion of Courage Classic fundraising also goes to the Hospital Sports Program, which helps patients with physical disabilities experience freedom from physical challenges through activities like skiing, snowboarding, fishing and cycling.
