Cardiology Outreach Program for Heart Care Throughout the Region
Our Regional Cardiology Outreach Program brings Children’s Hospital Colorado's renowned heart experts to cities throughout the Rocky Mountain region. A team of our pediatric cardiologists and sonographers (technicians) can visit cities at the request of local primary care physicians and the community.
The frequency of our outreach clinics ranges from two times per month, to once every four months, depending on the needs of the local community. In these regional clinics, we also perform electrocardiogram (EKG) and echocardiogram (ECHO) tests, as is done in our Metro-Denver facilities.
Working together to provide the best heart care for kids
The regional outreach clinic experience has been made possible by a wonderful partnership between Children’s Hospital Colorado's Heart Institute doctors and technicians, local primary care doctors, and of course, families. Kids may need to be referred to our main campus for further testing, but oftentimes children remain in their local communities and receive the same state-of-the art care as is delivered in our Metro Denver sites.
