The mission of the Pediatric Epilepsy Program is to provide comprehensive expert care for children who suffer from seizures. Our patients range from children who have just experienced a first-time seizure, to children and teens suffering from chronic and debilitating epilepsy.
Why choose Children’s?
Children's Hospital Colorado is located on a major medical campus that provides comprehensive, high quality care for pediatric patients, as well as education and research efforts in epilepsy.
Our Pediatric Epilepsy Program offers state-of-the-art treatment and evaluation by a multidisciplinary team, consisting of neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, social workers, dieticians and epileptologists who are all trained in pediatric epilepsy.
Services offered
Our high tech evaluations include long term video electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring, intraoperative EEG monitoring, functional neuroimaging, functional brain mapping and in-depth neuropsychological testing.
We provide different modalities of treatment including an epilepsy dietary program, access to on-going drug studies, vagal nerve stimulation and surgery.
