Psychiatry Outpatient Specialty Programs
Children's Hospital Colorado offers a series of outpatient specialty programs for youth ages 5 to 17, from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. These programs serve children and adolescents, along with their families, with a broad range of emotional and behavioral problems.
Experienced, pediatric-trained clinicians
A multidisciplinary team supports the Psychiatry Outpatient Specialty Programs. Our staff includes:

- Child and adolescent psychologists
- Licensed clinical social workers
- Certified mental health workers
- Psychiatric registered nurses
- Creative art therapists
- Psychiatric advanced practice nurses
Clinical research trials

Where are these programs located?
The Psychiatry Outpatient Specialty Programs are located on the fourth floor of the Gary Pavilion at Children's Hospital Colorado. The address is 13123 E. 16th Ave., Aurora, CO 80045, near the intersection of I-225 and East Colfax Avenue.
How can I get a referral for my child?
Referrals for outpatient mental health services are made through our intake department. For more information on referrals, please call be (720) 777-6200. We will make every effort to work with insurance companies, although not all insurance plans will authorize treatment at Children's Hospital Colorado. Financial counseling is available for those who need financial assistance.
Please note that patients who cannot be managed adequately with routine outpatient treatment are eligible for enrollment in Children's Intensive Outpatient Psychiatry (IOP) Program. IOP is an enhanced, intensive form of psychiatric intervention for more acute patients.
