Eating Disorder Treatment Program Directors
Eric Sigel, M.D.
Dr. Sigel is a pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist and the medical director of the program. Board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, he completed his pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and his adolescent medicine fellowship at Children's Hospital Colorado of Boston. Dr. Sigel also serves as chair of the Eating Disorders Committee of the Society of Adolescent Medicine.
Jennifer Hagman, M.D.
Dr. Hagman is an associate professor of Psychiatry with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She is the medical director of clinical services and co-director of the Eating Disorders Treatment Program at The Children’s Hospital in Denver Colorado. She has published chapters and journal articles in the field of eating disorders and has been working in the field since 1981. She is a past president of the Eating Disorder Professionals of Colorado (EDPC) and The Colorado Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Society (CCAPS). She organized and has been the chair of the Disaster Response Task Force for the Colorado Psychiatric Society and the Colorado Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Society since 1998. She is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders (AED). Board certified in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry, she is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in children and adolescents.
David Kaplan, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Kaplan is a professor of pediatrics and head of adolescent medicine at Children's Hospital Colorado. Board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, he is recognized nationally for his expertise in adolescent healthcare and caring for adolescents with complex medical and psychiatric disorders.
Sharmila Chakravarti, M.S., R.D.
Ms. Chakravarti is the nutrition therapist for the eating disorders program. She has over fifteen years experience in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Florida and is a registered dietitian.
Cinda Nab, R.D.
Ms. Nab is a registered dietitian who has over 10 year’s experience in working with eating disorders. She received her nutrition degree from Colorado State University and postgraduate training at Indiana University Medical Center.
Margaret Kelley, R.N., B.S.N.
Ms. Kelley is the program’s clinical manager. She has expertise in dealing with eating disorders and has been a part of Children's Hospital Colorado program since 1989, working with the inpatient and day treatment population. She is a member and past board member of the Eating Disorder Professionals of Colorado. Ms. Kelley received her nursing degree from North Park College in Chicago, Illinois.
Jim Masterson, M.S.W.
Mr. Masterson is a licensed clinical social worker who has been involved in the eating disorder program from its beginning. He received his master’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and completed postgraduate training at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic.
Kathleen Robinson, Psy.D.
Dr. Robinson received her doctorate of psychology from the University of Denver, School of Professional Psychology, and completed her clinical training at The Children’s Hospital of Denver. Dr. Robinson has obtained considerable postgraduate training in the areas of eating disorders, family therapy and diagnostic assessment.
Kwai Kendall-Grove, Ph.D.
Dr. Kendall-Grove received her Ph.D. in child clinical psychology from the University of Washington and completed her clinical training at Stanford University. Dr. Kendall-Grove’s graduate and postgraduate training have focused on eating disorders, assessment and treatment of adolescents and their families, and rehabilitation psychology.
Brad Jackson, Ph.D.
Dr. Jackson received his Ph.D. in child, clinical and developmental psychology from the University of Denver and completed his clinical training at Children's Hospital Colorado of Denver. Dr. Jackson works with both the Eating Disorders Program and the Psychiatric Day Treatment Program at Children’s. His research and training have focused on diagnostic evaluation and treatment with children, adolescents and families.
Matty Wilsey, Psy.D.
Dr. Wilsey received her doctorate of psychology from the University of Denver, School of Professional Psychology with a specialty focus in treatment of children and adolescents. Dr. Wilsey is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 13 years of experience in treatment of eating disorders.
