Neonatal Surgery at Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado

The Neonatal Surgery Program at Children's Hospital Colorado works with our 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to deliver industry-leading care to high risk newborns. Our NICU has been providing world-class intensive care and performing neonatal surgery for newborn babies in the Denver area and Rocky Mountain region since 1965.

Why choose Children's for treatment of this condition?

Several medical and surgical specialties combine to provide comprehensive care to the neonatal patient at Children's. Our pediatric surgeons work closely with the NICU physicians to form a highly specialized surgical team to treat babies who require specialized surgical procedures.

The multidisciplinary neonatal surgical team includes intensive care physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, occupational and physical therapists, highly skilled nurses and other surgical specialists. Our neonatal surgeons strive to provide compassionate, family-centered care – the best outcome for your child will be achieved by families and healthcare professionals working together as partners.

Our neonatal surgery team operates in the NICU, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. We have the capability to treat more conditions in newborns and infants than any other hospital in the region.
