About the conference

This conference presents topics of interest to pediatricians, family practice and infectious diseases physicians, and other health professionals. Speakers cover the most recent information on diagnosis, management and prevention of infections in pediatrics. Discussion of controversial issues and questions follow each presentation. This conference is designed to promote information interchange, therefore, registration is limited.

Conference objectives
Upon completion of this conference, participants will be able to:

  • Outline the role of infection control in outpatient pediatric practice.
  • Discuss the recent outbreaks of foodborne illness and opportunities for prevention.
  • Describe the presentation and treatment of sepsis in the pediatric population.
  • Review the presentation and pathophysiology of CMV infections in newborns and pregnant women.
  • Outline the diagnosis and management of encephalitis in children.
  • Describe an approach to diagnosis and management of illness in the returning traveler.
  • Describe recent ACIP recommendations for pediatric immunization.
  • Discuss recognition and management of Kawasaki disease.
  • Discuss the most important recently published articles in pediatric infectious disease.

Register early! The deadline to register for the 32nd Annual Conference on Pediatric Diseases is June, 16, 2014. If you experience difficulty with registration or completing your payment transaction contact the Conference Coordinator, at 720-777-6671.

Space permitting, late registrations will be accepted. Late registrations are subject to an additional fee.

A registration refund, minus a $50 processing fee, will be granted if cancellation is requested by June 16, 2014. No refunds will be granted after this date or for non-attendance.
