Lisa Filipczak has enjoyed working as a Senior Physician Relations Representative at Children's Hospital Colorado since her hire in May 2005. Lisa started her professional path in healthcare in 1992 when she earned a degree in medical sociology from the University of Connecticut. Before coming to Children's, Lisa worked for several years as a rural outreach coordinator for a seven-hospital system in Denver.
Lisa works closely with community providers and hospitals in north metro Denver and northern Colorado, as well as Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska. Internally, she liaisons with Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, The Digestive Health Institute, The Breathing Center and Adolescent Medicine.
Lisa served on the board of directors of the Colorado Rural Health Center from 2004 to 2010. Previously, she was a council member of the Colorado Rural Health Center and the Colorado Health and Hospital Association. Her volunteer work in the community includes four years of service to The Samaritan House, a homeless shelter in downtown Denver, and time as a foster volunteer with Safe Harbor Lab Rescue.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, camping, yoga, traveling, snowboarding, and cheering on the UConn Huskies basketball teams.
