Baby Gabriel on Right Track after Heart Transplant:
Parents Keep Watchful Eye Amid Visits to Denver's Children's Hospital

'Fighter' has Parents Staying Up Late at Night Like Other Babies

As seen onCBS4, June 14, 2007

A few months after a life saving heart transplant just two weeks after his birth, Gabriel Gideon Basquez is keeping his parents up at night thanks to someone they never met. Two weeks after Gabriel was born, a heart became available from a total stranger.

Gabriel was born with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, meaning he had only half a heart. He received a heart transplant at Children's Hospital Colorado and still visits frequently to ensure his body does not reject the new heart.
