Health of Today's Children and Teens on the Decline
Stephen Daniels, MD, pediatrician-in-chief, told doctors and medical students at Louisiana State University that physicians, especially pediatricians and family medicine physicians, will need to change how they practice medicine because the health of children is changing. We’re rapidly learning that early poor eating habits and secondhand smoke have a significant impact on children, and for the first time in generations, today's children and teens might not outlive their baby boomer parents.
