Emily Brown Refused to Give in to Cancer
Despite having 23 percent lung functionality, Emily Brown, 22, is excited about riding in the Courage Classic with Team Courage, a team made up of former and current patients. Brown has been featured in a number of stories and was quoted in Rocky Mountain News as saying, "This is finally the year when I'm healthy enough and strong enough to give back to the hospital for all they've done for me."
