Lights a Symbol of 2-Year-Old's Recovery

As part of the April 1 lighting ceremony held at Children's Hospital Colorado in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Von McLaughlin, survivor of child abuse, helped switch on the blue lights lining the trees and walkways at the entrance of the hospital. The blue lights and ribbons serve as a symbol of child abuse prevention, the leading cause of trauma death seen at Children's Hospital Colorado.
