Loveland resident Brooke Gardner, 11, spent 77 days at Children’s recovering from major brain trauma after a Dec. 6th car crash. Thanks to the many experts at Children’s, Gardner is learning to walk, talk and regain use of the right-side of her body.

9News became intrigued by Gardner when they learned she had written a paper about courage only days before the accident. Her mother found the paper on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 9News came to Children’s in February to meet Gardner and her family. They followed her during her speech, occupational and physical therapy sessions. The news station returned to Children’s earlier this month for her joyous discharge.
