H1N1 Cases Declining
9News
9News interviewed Chris Nyquist, MD, Children's infection control about the decline of the H1N1 virus. The number of H1N1 cases reported in Colorado has been declining for the past three weeks.
Nyquist told 9News that although H1N1 influenza numbers are lower, we aren't in the clear yet.
She advises still practicing good hand hygiene, getting the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccine and covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. She also warns that if a child gets better but then starts to develop worsening symptoms, especially a new fever or breathing problems, they need to be seen by a health care provider.
