Public Restroom Germs - How Much Should You Worry?

Harley Rotbart, MD, of Children's infectious disease department, was interviewed by an Associated Press reporter about the “perils of public potties.” Dr. Rotbart explains that there may be limited perils.
Rotbart states that parents need not worry about exposure to common illnesses.
"When there are real risks, then it is appropriate to take real precautions. When there are only imagined, or negligible, or theoretical risks, then it doesn't make sense to make our kids neurotic and paranoid about being in the real world," he said.
