Dr. Robert Brayden Discusses Importance of Chickenpox Vaccine
The Denver Post
Matthew F. Daley, MD, pediatrician at Children's, co-authored a new study published in the January issue of Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. The study, led by physicians at Kaiser Permanente Colorado, found that about one in 10 unvaccinated children get chickenpox, compared with one in 100 vaccinated children.
The Denver Post talked to Robert Brayden, MD, pediatrician at Children's, regarding his support of the study.
"Your child is a lot less likely to get chickenpox if they've been vaccinated," he said. Dr. Brayden went on to say that Americans "just don't understand how much better our world is without chickenpox."
