Catching up with Madison Hurdle

9 News

9News first introduced Children's patient, Madison Hurdle, to viewers in 2004. In a follow-up story done this month, it was found that Maddie is now the poster child for Prader-Willi Syndrome, the most common known genetic cause of life-threatening obesity in children. According to her father, the former Rockies manager, Clint Hurdle, Maddie has made great strides in the past six years by taking life one day at a time and through the help of doctors at Children's Hospital Colorado. While she requires extra attention in some areas, she is just a typical eight-year-old, learning the ropes as she goes along.

Read about Madison's journey.
