February 7, 2012
Denver Post
Doctors from Children's Colorado teamed up with our partners at University of Colorado Hospital to care for a rather unusual patient: an orangutan from the Denver Zoo. Sally the orangutan had a large mass in her abdomen, which was a benign tumor that eventually made her unable to go to the bathroom.
Our doctors intervened to help remove the tumor and get Sally back to her old self again.
Watch this story about how a team of doctors helped save the orangutan's life.
