Doctor Removes Cancerous Tumor Before Baby is Born

PBS

Before Cami Santee was born, a rapidly growing tumor began forming in her lower body. To save her life, Dr. Timothy Crombleholme*, now a surgeon at Children's Hospital Colorado, had to operate on the baby en utero. With half of Cami's body still inside her mother, Dr. Crombleholme made a special incision in her mother's womb and removed the cancerous tumor.

Read about Cami's story and this life-saving surgery.
