Children's Hospital Colorado to Partner with Memorial Hospital for Children in Colorado Springs

On Aug. 28, 2012, the people of Colorado Springs voted to approve a 40-year lease proposal of Memorial Health System to University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) effective Oct. 1.

The vote was the culmination of several years of planning by the City of Colorado Springs, which currently owns Memorial Health System. Earlier this year, the Colorado Springs City Council voted to endorse a bid to lease Memorial Health System to UCHealth.

Beginning Oct. 1, 2012, Children's Hospital Colorado will partner with Memorial Hospital for Children, which will mean greater access to more pediatric services for the people of Colorado Springs and the Southern Colorado region.

Memorial Hospital is an integral part of Colorado Springs' rich history and community, and we're honored that the people of Colorado Springs entrusted our team to partner with Memorial Hospital for Children.
