Hospital Construction Boom

Colorado Public News

Children's Hospital Colorado is one of the many hospitals in the state working on expansion projects.

“Children’s has seen the number of outpatients grow by 70 percent in the five years. This is our goal – it’s to try to keep people out of the hospital, and treat them in an ambulatory  environment if possible” Jerrod Milton, vice president of operations at Children's Hospital Colorado said.

Nurses and doctors aren't the only ones doing their part to help heal patients, there is also a great power in the construction of all Children's Hospital Colorado locations.

"There is quite a bit of research showing the colors and light and arts and all of that complement the healing process, and help get people out of the hospital quicker,” said Milton.
