Children's Hospital Colorado at Parker Adventist Hospital Announces 24/7 Expansion of Emergency Services for the Parker Community
DENVER (January 9, 2006) – The emergency department at Children's Hospital Colorado at Parker Adventist Hospital is now staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by Children's Hospital Colorado pediatric emergency medicine physicians and nurses.
“The expansion of emergency services will allow children in the Parker area access to around-the-clock, high-quality pediatric care,” said Andrea Ferretti, director of Children’s Hospital at Parker Adventist.
Children’s at Parker Adventist also provides around-the-clock care for children in its pediatric inpatient unit, as well as daytime specialty care clinics accessible through referral from a primary care physician.
Pediatric care specialties at Children’s include: cardiology, dermatology, otolaryngology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology and EEG, adolescent medicine, urology, pulmonary and pediatric surgery.
When Children’s at Parker Adventist opened in February 2004, emergency services were offered from 9 a.m. to midnight. Children’s currently occupies 8,400 square feet and offers inpatient care with six beds.
