Cancer patient's dreams come true

"All I ever wanted to be was a police officer," said 19-year-old Miguel Pedro. "And I want to set a good example by graduating from high school." Thanks to the staff at Children's Hospital Colorado and the Aurora Police Department, Miguel's dreams have come true.

Miguel and his family have experienced a full scope of services while at Children's Hospital Colorado. In addition to his fabulous team of physicians and nurses in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Miguel's child life specialist, social worker and learning specialist have been very instrumental in helping him achieve his goals. Miguel is also taking advantage of the Butterfly Program to help make his hospital stay more comfortable.
