A Look Back on 2008

As 2008 comes to a close, it’s time to recapture the year’s highlights and celebrate the successes we’ve encountered while working hard to provide the best care for kids. We look forward to another year of serving the Rocky Mountain region and caring for your children in 2009.

Children’s celebrates 100 years of providing pediatric care and one year in its new home

Children's Hospital Colorado celebrated 100 years as a pediatric hospital in 2008. What began as a 30-bed hospital has grown over decades to become a 270-bed facility that is one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals. Read more about the hospital’s 100 years of history.

September 2008 also marked the first year in our new state-of-the-art facility in Aurora. Every detail of the new hospital was specifically designed to help kids get better faster – including the design, décor, landscaping, color schemes and patient flow. Since the new main campus location opened, Children's Hospital Colorado has seen 21% more patients over its former downtown Denver site. Read more about our first year in our new hospital.

Children’s receives accolades for its excellence in pediatric healthcare
