CBS4 and The Denver Post
Garrett Karp, 18, missed his senior year football season due to his Hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis. Luckily, he was able to play in a varsity basketball game against his high school's cross-town rivals, where he hit a three-point shot in the final minute of the game.
The day after the big game, Karp was at Children's preparing for a bone marrow transplant, because the first round of chemotherapy didn't totally eliminate his cancer. After the transplant, Karp might miss prom but is hoping to make graduation.
