Children's Hospital Colorado Network of Care

Dear Community Colleagues,

I recently sent a patient from our practice to Children's Hospital Colorado at Saint Joseph Hospital for evaluation of wheezing. The patient was quickly triaged, treated and sent home with an action plan in place and follow up arranged. The urgent care pediatrician spoke with the doctor on call from our practice that night to tell us the disposition of the child. This is a just one example of how Children’s Network of Care helps us extend the best care possible to the families and kids we treat.

Children’s Network of Care is an unparalleled resource for pediatricians, family physicians and our patients to access Children’s specialists 24 hours a day in locations throughout the metro area. The Network of Care allows many of our patients to be treated locally while ensuring access to the latest advancements and technology in pediatric care. We value the collaborative and supportive role Children’s Network of Care provides our practice and patients.

Children’s Network of Care has grown to 14 locations that meet the needs of our busy practice and the families we care for. For pediatricians and family physicians the Network of Care offers expanded opportunities for partnership and collaboration with the Children’s team. Our families appreciate shorter wait times for emergency and urgent care, enhanced clinic appointment availability and the smaller setting, closer to home.

I’d like to encourage you to take advantage of Children’s Network of Care and the convenience it offers. Your practice and your kids and families have access to Children’s pediatric services conveniently located across Colorado ’s front range.

Sincerely,

Jay Markson, MD
President, Children's Hospital Colorado Medical Board
