Frozen vegetables are as nutritious as fresh produce and can easily be tossed into a pre-made spaghetti sauce. Or frozen chicken can be thawed and grilled in no time flat for a healthy main course. To ensure you have what it takes to whip up a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner, keep these basics on hand:

  • Frozen fruits and vegetables
  • Low-fat cottage cheese or yogurt
  • Low-fat cereal or granola
  • Marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • Reduced-fat milk
  • Skim, or non-fat, shredded cheese
  • Whole-grain bread or dough
