Welcome Commercial Interests

Dear Supporters of CME,

Children's Hospital Colorado is pleased to collaborate with commercial interests to support our CME activities. We greatly appreciate the educational grants provided by participating commercial interests who support Pediatric educational activities.

Children's Hospital Colorado is dedicated to demonstrating full compliance with regards to expectations set forth by the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support.

We require signed Letters of Agreement(s)  for all direct or in-kind support that a CME activity receives.   Your assistance with full compliance around commercial support is necessary, and helps Children's Hospital Colorado maintain our accreditation.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

With Independence,

Commercial Definitions:

Commercial Bias: a personal judgment in favor of a specific proprietary business interest of a commercial interest.

Commercial Interest: is any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients. The ACCME does not consider providers of clinical service directly to patients to be commercial interests.  A commercial interest is not eligible for ACCME accreditation.

Commercial Support: financial, or in-kind, contributions given by a commercial interest, which is used to pay all or part of the costs of a CME activity. The definition of roles and requirements when commercial support is received are outlined in the Standards of Commercial Support (Element 3.3).
