Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS)
Under typical circumstances, only medical schools and hospital-based CME providers produce activities that can be characterized as a RSS.
A course is identified as an RSS when it is planned to have 1) a series with multiple sessions that 2) occur on an ongoing basis (offered weekly, monthly, or quarterly) and 3) are primarily planned by and presented to the accredited organization's professional staff. Ex. Grand Rounds, Tumor Board.
All RSS must comply with the ACCME's Essential Areas and Elements for a continuing medical education activity. Interested in learning more about the expectations of developing an RSS? Download the RSS Toolkit.
Professional hospital staff may contact Shaun Ayon at shaun.ayon@childrenscolorado.org for a complete list of RSS and their respective coordinators for conference specific flyer distribution and activity frequency.
