After this presentation, attendees will be able to describe opportunities for strategic use of the EMR to advance quality and safety, list risks to patient safety that the EMR introduces, and identify strategies to mitigate these risks. Participants will be able to discuss the impact of an EMR implementation observed at a children’s hospital.
