The speaker will assess the centrality of insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia and adiponectin as the genesis of multiple endocrine disorders starting in childhood, and progressing into adult life. This presentation will also discuss insulin, insulin resistance, adiponectin, polycystic ovary syndrome, and the pediatric genesis of obesity, hyperandrogenism, type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Metabolic Syndrome, and hypertriglyceridemia.
