To reach Children's Hospital Colorado Emergency Department entrance , turn north onto Aurora Court (formerly Ursula Way) from Colfax Ave. Children's Hospital Colorado Emergency Department is the only ED in the region equipped and able to handle ANY pediatric emergency, from the simplest to the most complex. Our ED features 49 clinical rooms, including a separate psychiatric area and an observation unit with five large private rooms for children who need to be observed but not admitted. Our outpatient pharmacy adjacent to the ED makes it easy to fill prescriptions after your visit.

Children's Hospital Colorado Emergency Department (ED) has long been the only Level 1 Pediatric Emergency Center in the region. Our ED is staffed with specially trained pediatric emergency doctors and stocked with appropriately sized equipment for kids of all ages. Our pediatric expertise ensures you will get the right diagnosis, fast.
Our whimsical ED waiting area uses art and color to help reduce stress for a moment or two while you are with us. Colorado artist Mary Williams provided hand-carved wooden quilts and a series of large-scale wood buttons for the waiting area.
