Children's Hospital Colorado Outpatient Clinics
The Rick Wilson Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is located on the 7th floor. This dedicated area allows us to provide integrated treatment that best meets the needs of our patients and families. Take the central elevator to the 7th floor check-in area. Here, you may check-in for clinic visits, infusions or be admitted to the unit for inpatient care.
Bright, private and shared infusion rooms, two lab drawing areas, a teen center and a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit satellite pharmacy round out the center.
Helping Kids Heal
To help minimize the risk of infection, the Center incudes many unique features. For instance, light fixtures are enclosed to minimize dust, non-carpeted flooring in the outpatient areas decreases exposure to fungal agents and specially-designed shower hoses and placement minimizes risk of infection.
All rooms are built to the same standards used for severely immunocompromised patients. There are parent sleeping accommodations in the BMT area as well as additional triage, exam and private infusion rooms; consult rooms for caregivers to meet with families; and a seprate bone marrow transplant waiting area.
