Step 1: Review open positions

Search for a position online that matches your skills and interests. You can view all available jobs or enter keywords such as "nurse" to find specific openings. If you see a job title that interests you, click on the highlighted job title to read the job description.

Step 2: Register online

Before you can submit an application, you'll need to register. You'll need to provide contact information, education information, career history and some additional information. You may upload your resume to automatically fill in the application information, but it is not required. Once you have registered, you can save job searches, apply for additional positions and track the status of your application. If you are unable to finish the application process at this time, you may save your application and finish it later.

Step 3: Submit an online application

If you find a job you would like to apply for, click the "Apply Now" button. If you are already registered, log in. If not, you can register here.

Or, from the list of search results, you may check the box next to the job or jobs that interest you. At the bottom of that section, click "Apply Now." You may apply for more than one position at a time by selecting all that apply.

Resume options:

  1. Complete the application page manually instead of using a resume.
  2. Upload a resume: To upload your resume, your resume file must be on the computer you are using. Choose "Upload a new resume" from the resume options page, choose browse and locate your resume file. Click on the "upload" button. Your information will automatically be added into the application. Verify all information.
  3. Use an existing resume: Choose resume name from drop down list.

You must complete all information and click "Submit to Apply Now" to submit your application.

We will contact you via phone or email if we need additional information or to set up an interview. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for our process.

For consistent results in using our online application process, we recommend using a Microsoft Windows system with either Internet Explorer or Firefox as a browser.

Please note, applications and resume submissions for open positions are accepted electronically through our career portal and will not be accepted by paper mail.

Step 4: Check the status of your application

You may login 24 hours a day to check the status of your application. From the "My Career Tools" box, click on the "Applications - view current status" link. From here you may also update your profile and view saved resumes and cover letters. You also will receive an email at the email address you provided each time your status changes. If you are hired, you will be required to submit references, complete a background check, homeland security check, health screen and drug test before a start date can be established.

Terms you may see as your application moves through our recruitment process

Applied - You are a current applicant and have successfully applied.
Recruiter Reviewed - The recruiter has reviewed your application and is in the process of determining which candidates best meet the hiring manager's needs. You will be notified if your application is routed to the hiring manager.
Route - The recruiter has screened your application and has routed it to the hiring manager for review. The hiring manager will contact you directly for an interview if you are selected as one of the top candidates. Please allow a few weeks for your application status to be updated.

Q: Do you accept paper applications or resumes?
A: No, in order to be considered an applicant you must apply through our online application process.

Q: Can I attach a cover letter?
A: Yes, choose the "Cover Letters and Attachments" option from the Careers home page. Choose the attachment type, name your file, and locate on your computer. You will see your attachment in your application page when you complete.

Q: When I click on "Search for Jobs Online" I get a blank page. What can I do?
A: Our application does not support Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0, Mozilla, or Firefox. Internet Explorer version 6.0 is the supported browser for our online application. If you are experiencing browser issues, please visit our job application link directly.

Q: Can I make changes to my application after I have submitted it?
A: No, if you need to make changes to your application you will have to re-apply in order to update your application information. Or, should you get called for an interview you may bring your updated resume with you.

Q: Can I change my address, phone or email information?
A: Yes, you can update your personal information by logging in and clicking on the My Profile link in the My Career Tools box.

A: We offer Child Life, Psychology and High School Student internships. We typically do not offer other internships online at this time. If you are looking to gain experience at Children's Hospital Colorado, we encourage you to pursue one of our many volunteer opportunities.

Q: What if the position I am looking for is not posted on the website?
A: The position must be posted for you to apply. All applicants who apply without selecting a specific job are not considered an applicant. If you saw a job listed on another website and you do not see it in our database, that means the job is no longer available. All open jobs are in our database.

Q: How do I receive emails when a job I might be interested in is posted?
A: To create a "job agent" navigate to the "Advanced Search" page. Put a keyword (for example: "director" or "nurse") in the "Keyword Search" box, set the "Find job posted within" drop down to "Anytime" and click the "Save Search" button. Name your search, click on "Use as Job Agent", enter your email address, click on "Save Search". You will receive an email anytime a new position is posted including the keyword you entered.
