In life-threatening emergencies, find the emergency room location nearest you. For non-life-threatening medical needs when your pediatrician is unavailable, visit one of our urgent care locations.
At Children's Hospital Colorado, our people have made us one of the nation's most respected and successful pediatric hospitals. Our exceptional team members deserve benefits that meet their professional and personal needs.
What employee benefits does Children's Colorado offer?
We used team member feedback to develop our comprehensive Pay and Benefits package. The following are just some of the benefits we offer:
Medical, dental and vision insurance
We offer two UnitedHealthcare plans and a Kaiser Permanente HMO plan with differing premiums and deductibles to meet the unique needs of our team members and their qualified dependents. We also offer a choice of two dental plans through Delta Dental as well as vision coverage.
We provide short-term and long-term disability insurance through Unum to all benefits-eligible team members at no cost. This insurance is designed to help you meet your financial needs if you become unable to work due to a nonoccupational illness or injury.
Paid time off
You will accrue paid time off (PTO) to use for vacations, personal business, holidays, parent/teacher conferences and sick pay. Accrual rate for full-time status includes 22 days* per year for your first year and up to 34 days* per year after 15 years of employment.
* Includes six company holidays.
403(b) retirement savings plan
To help you plan for your financial security in retirement, we offer a 403(b) tax-deferred savings plan. The hospital also provides dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of your compensation that you contribute to the plan.
Flexible spending account
Our Flexible Benefit Plan allows you to set aside money for the purpose of paying certain expenses with pretax dollars. Funds for this purpose are designated during open enrollment and deducted directly from paychecks. Funds may be used for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses or dependent day care expenses.
Our Employee Assistance Program provides assessment, referral, focused therapy and coaching for you and your family in dealing with abuse, anxiety, child/elder care, depression, addictions, financial problems, legal needs, marital/relationship issues, stress and other life issues.
Relocation assistance
We're proud of all the lifestyle advantages of our Colorado location. You may be eligible for relocation assistance to help you get here.
Hospital Employee Referral Bonus (HERB)
We believe that our current team members are often our best source for attracting and hiring new team members. That's why we introduced HERB to provide a cash award to team members who refer their friends to Children's Colorado.
Wellness program
Children's Colorado wants you to be able to get the absolute most out of life. We're pleased to be able to offer our team members a variety of wellness programs including biometric screenings, health assessments and yoga.
