Expanding access We want our team to reflect the diversity of our community, so we actively recruit residents through the Aurora-based Hire Local Program. Hire Local helps ensure that people from many different economic and cultural backgrounds have a chance to succeed at our hospital.
Building relationships We actively recruit and retain minority team members through strong relationships with nursing schools and an internship program. We offer community initiatives like Launch Programs, Career Days and minority clinical scholarships, and we work with minority-owned suppliers and vendors.
Promoting a team approach Providing the best care for our patients and their families is a team effort involving many exceptional people. We celebrate team members who work in the full range of healthcare disciplines, as well as in important nonclinical roles.
