At Children's Hospital Colorado, we are a caring community called to honor the sacred trust of our patients, families and each other through humble expertise, generous service and boundless creativity. It’s our mission to improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy – and in 2016, we reached new heights in achieving this goal.
This year's annual report offers a glimpse into some of the many roles we played throughout 2016 in our patients' and families health care stories.
The work we do at Children’s Hospital Colorado has the power to transform. The children and families we care for depend on us not only to treat their injuries and illnesses, but to comfort, to soothe, to relieve, to renew. This work changes lives.
We do this work for thousands of patients each day, for hundreds of thousands each year. For each one of those patients, there is a story. The numbers in this book represent the sum of all of the stories we played a part in last year, the data that defined us in 2015.
As a nonprofit pediatric hospital, we see courage in the faces of our patients, families and those who work on their behalf at Children’s Colorado every single day.
Across our organization incredible things happen all the time thanks to this spirit. This year’s Annual Report shares just a few of the many stories of courage that unfolded at Children’s Colorado in 2014.
