Children’s Hospital Colorado hosted its first social summit in partnership with 9News. The event offered a unique platform for parents, caregivers and educators to ask questions to a panel of experts on the topic of cyberbullying, a growing trend among teens and pre-teens.
The panel included two adolescent psychologists from Children's Colorado, Dr. Philip O’Donnell and Dr. Natalie Abramson; Amiee Giese, Denver mom and founder of the blog Greeblehaus.com; and Kristy Arellano, mother of Kiana Arellano who was a victim of cyberbullies in high school.
Attendees and those unable to attend the event were encouraged to ask questions and follow the conversation on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #BullyProofSummit.
The event featured a livescriber, Johnathan Fenske, who created a drawing of all the topics and conversations taking place during the social summit. Below is a video timelapse of his work.
