Hey, Look Outside - It's a Superhero!

When patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado looked out their windows on August 12, it wasn’t the beautiful blue sky and mountains they initially saw, but some of their favorite superhero friends.

Together with members of the Aurora Police SWAT team, Children’s Colorado surprised patients, families and staff – the real young and young-at-heart heroes – as Batman, Robin, Spiderman, Captain America and Wolverine rappelled down the western-facing windows on floors 6-9 of the hospital.

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a superhero scaling down our hospital!

For the second year in a row, Children’s Colorado teamed up with the Aurora Police SWAT Team who dressed up as some of our favorite superheroes and scaled down the side of the building as kids watched from the inside of the hospital. The event also served as a training opportunity for the SWAT team.
