Fetal Care Center Reunion

Children's Hospital Colorado | June 19, 2016

Colorado Fetal Care Center's Second Annual Fetal Care Reunion - 2016

This past Father's Day, the Colorado Fetal Care Center hosted the second annual reunion for a day of connection and friendship at the hospital's Fresh Market Place dining area & the Garden of Hope. Guests played games, ate lunch and enjoyed plenty of entertainment.

Families also reconnected with the medical teams who were there to battle potentially fatal fetal conditions.

"We see them when they're in the hospital and when they're sick, but we don't know how they're doing after they go home. So it's nice to reconnect and see how they're thriving at home," said Dr. Ken Liechty, pediatric and fetal surgeon.

Families also connected with other parents who had gone through similar experiences - as their young ones delighted in fun activities, and even face-painting.

For a majority of parents, their babies received surgical intervention while in-utero weeks before birth or minutes within coming into the world.
