We're proud to announce that we've officially broken ground on our new Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs, which is set to open in late spring 2019. This 6-level, 280,000 sqare feet location will house the first pediatric-only operating rooms and emergency department in Colorado Springs. Local Childhood Cancer Survivor Raises Money to Help Others

September 9, 2017

When Carter was 7 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. At age 9, he began a craft sale called "Crafts for Cancer" to help raise awareness for childhood cancer. Now 11, Carter has raised more than $5,200.

133% Leap in Children Admitted to ER for Marijuana, Study Finds

August 14, 2017

Dr. G. Sam Wang, a pediatric toxicologist, has conducted several studies of U.S. trends in pediatric marijuana intoxication, as well as trends in Colorado. He found that in states where recreational or medical marijuana is legal, the number of pediatric marijuana intoxication cases reported to poison control centers increased by 30% each year from 2005 to 2011.
