Specifically, the course will provide an overview of what is known about a newly recognized diagnosis — avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) — which is defined by an inability to meet nutritional needs due to sensory sensitivity, fear of aversive consequences, and/or lack of interest in eating or food. Physicians, advanced practice providers, mental health providers, including psychologists, social workers, counselors, psychiatrists and other interested health care professionals are invited to register.
