Children's Colorado Mobile Blood Drive Program

Note: Our Mobile Blood Drive Program is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. Learn how to donate blood at Children's Colorado.

Hosting a mobile blood drive is a wonderful way to help ensure that we are able to meet the transfusion needs of the kids here at Children’s Hospital Colorado.  The Blood Donor Center provides about 95% of the blood products needed for the over 14,000 transfusions performed at Children’s Colorado each year.  Our mobile program collects about 65% of that blood!

You have two options for hosting

  1. Our self-contained Bloodmobile – Our Mobile Bloodmobile is approximately 40 ft. in length and will take up at least 6 parking spaces.
  2. Inside your organization in a conference space. (We will need a space at least 1000 square feet). It is important that we have enough room for all the equipment and to allow privacy during our donor screenings. Confidentiality is essential.

We can accommodate up to 32 donors Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday from 8:30AM to 12:15PM.

When we collect blood, we do it in a safe and sterile manner.

We usually collect 450 ml or about 1 pint of blood, which takes about 30-45 minutes.
