You can take docusate sodium to help soften stools.
Dose:
- Colace Capsule: Swallow tablet whole, do not chew. Take 1 to 6 capsules daily
Extra Notes and Warnings:
- This is an over-the-counter (OTC) drug. You can buy it at the drugstore.
- Let your doctor know if you are pregnant.
- Do not use for more than 1 week without talking to your doctor.
