The Children's Hospital Colorado Breathing Institute's mission is to provide comprehensive clinical care and consultation for children with common and complex breathing problems.
As a regional care center, our Breathing Institute provides professional education and advancement of knowledge through research. Our doctors are responsible for discoveries in pulmonary medicine including the first use of inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) to treat a premature infant with respiratory failure.
At Children's Colorado we've made improving service and providing prompt communication with our patients' providers our top priorities. The staff and physicians at Children's are continually working to improve all aspects of communication with referring providers. Thank you for your interest in the University of Colorado School of Medicine Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Program (a.k.a. The Breathing Institute) at Children’s Colorado. As one of the premier pediatric pulmonary services in the country, many providers are interested in a shadowing, research and/or academic experience with our excellent care team. Please complete and submit the visiting professor interest form and within 7 business days you will be contacted by an administrative professional to help coordinate your visit. While our team can’t assist with housing or VISA issues, our goal is to partner with you so that you gain more experiences in the areas that interest you. We look forward to meeting you!
