This program is an extension of the pulmonary clinic designed to help patients and families learn how the child's environment influences their asthma. Community health workers, also known as health educators, will do home visits to assess, educate and help the family improve their child’s asthma.
The program is a FREE service currently available in the Denver metro area.
Children who have seen an asthma specialist at Children’s Hospital Colorado and have had two Emergency Department visits or one hospitalization due to asthma in the past year are eligible.
Visit the Colorado American Lung Association website for more information on national advocacy and research.
