Led by international experts Andrea Bischoff, MD, and Dan Wood, MD, in partnership with the Hendren Project, the Transition of Care Course focuses on preparing a child to become independent in managing their own healthcare and help them get ready to make the transition into an adult healthcare environment. While this transition practice exists across all specialties, this course will focus on children who have been treated for urological, gynecological and colorectal conditions. Dr. Bischoff and Dr. Wood will share their insights on transition of care and how they overcome some of the practical and medical challenges in this exciting and growing area of clinical practice

Improvements in pediatric care mean that more children with complex conditions can expect to live long and productive lives. That’s why it is important to provide the healthcare and support they need to ensure that underlying conditions or treatment have minimal impact

This course is one of the first of its kind and recognizes the growing need and interest in this field. The international faculty is renowned for their expertise and experience in the colorectal and urogenital fields and the management of these complex patients.
