Dermatology programs and clinics

The programs and clinics we offer through our Department of Pediatric Dermatology provide a comprehensive way to address several conditions in a convenient and thorough manner. By bringing together experts from different departments in these specialized programs and clinics, we can provide our patients and families with a holistic way to treat skin conditions and address every aspect related to each condition.

Phototherapy Clinic

Phototherapy is a dermatology treatment that uses ultraviolet light to treat skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (commonly known as eczema), psoriasis, and vitiligo. We offer narrow band UVB phototherapy for children at our Anschutz and North Campus locations. Phototherapy treatments are usually done twice a week for several weeks. They are administered by a dermatology nurse and supervised by our dermatology providers.

Regional Epidermolysis Bullosa Clinic

Children’s Hospital Colorado is home of the premier center for patients with epidermolysis bullosa, a genetic disorder that causes blistering and wounds of the skin. In addition to skin care, patients in this clinic see providers from other specialties.

Vascular Birthmarks and Malformations Clinic

We collaborate Vascular Anomalies Center in a monthly multidisciplinary clinic that addresses the complex needs of children with vascular birthmarks, such as hemangiomas and malformations.

Genetic Skin Disease Clinic

Patients with known or suspected genetic skin conditions are seen in this monthly clinic for evaluation and long-term follow-up. The clinic is staffed by dermatologist Anna Bruckner, MD, and faculty from the Genetics and Inherited Metabolic Diseases Program.
